چکیده
In this paper, the adsorption of Congo red dye from an aqueous solution using chitosan-coated pumice (CCP) has been studied. The abundant natural Irind mine (Republic Armenia) was successfully activated by acid activation method and modified with chitosan. adsorbent applied as a low-cost, environmentally-friendly for removal solution. samples were characterized Fourier-transform infrared spectroscopy (FT-IR). To study behavior on pumice, batch used. effects operating parameters examined, including dose, pH, contact time, starting concentration. Solutions concentrations before after measured UV-Vis Spectrophotometer (Cary-60). wavelength 3.799 nm-1 corresponds to dye's maximum absorbance, obtained spectra revealed that no peak found above threshold modifications.

In this study, the adsorption behavior of anionic dyes from aqueous solution onto mesoporous carbon material (CMK-1) and modified with polymer (PANI/CMK-1) has been investigated as a function of parameters such as adsorbent dose (0.08-0.8 g/L), solution pH 3–10, contact time and initial concentration (10-100 mg/L). The influence of these parameters on the adsorption capacity has been studied us...
متن کاملRemoval of Arsenic (V) from Aqueous Solutions Using Chitosan–Red Scoria and Chitosan–Pumice Blends
In different regions across the globe, elevated arsenic contents in the groundwater constitute a major health problem. In this work, a biopolymer chitosan has been blended with volcanic rocks (red scoria and pumice) for arsenic (V) removal. The effect of three blending ratios of chitosan and volcanic rocks (1:2, 1:5 and 1:10) on arsenic removal has been studied. The optimal blending ratio was 1...
